![]() ![]() What we discovered on the trip is finding just cheese things (aka fromage without jambon) is tough. ![]() In France they must love ham (or jambon) because they put it in EVERYTHING – quiche, pizza, sandwiches, crepes, coffee – ok maybe not coffee but it would not surprise me! Now Durward and I are cool with ham so no problem there. ![]() The guy behind the bar was just opening but he said he would absolutely be able to make us a hot cheese and ham baguette. We did stumble across a tiny little bar called Au Pelerin that as mum would say “you can barely swing a cat” and I mean this literally as maybe 10 people max would fit. We’re close and all by not the bobsy twins!Īt the base of Mont Saint-Michel is a shopping street (or to continue with the Harry Potter analogy, Diagonal Alley.) We were hungry and the place was full of cafes but because it was still early not much was open. Note: We we did not get matching dresses. In the end we each got a dress and it’s a special memento from a great trip. Did Phil find it first? Of course not! But it was hilarious to see her in a dress and heels scrambling around the store looking for it. The sales lady said she was off looking for an egg to which my response was “what?” Apparently they were doing an Easter egg hunt in the store and whoever found the egg first would get 100 euros. Durward took a seat and they brought him water (nice to have a beverage but he probably could have used something stronger since here we were shopping again!) At one point I went looking for Phil to show her a dress and she was no where to be found. The stuff was beautiful and so French (and they are aren’t in the U.S.) and we found ourselves on the top floor with a great sales person trying on lots of different dresses. The bad news is we walked right into a French dress boutique called Tara Jarmon. ![]()
